The area around Ullapool offers a wide choice of walks to suit everyone.

Locally and rated as an easy walk a hike up the well marked trails of Ullapool hill will reveal the most spectacular views of Loch Broom and the village. You can choose your path to take one of the circular routes, allow one to three hours depending on the route you select and the number of times you stop to take photographs.

To the north stand the isolated mountains of Assynt. Situated in an imposing landscape of lochs, rocks and peat bog they range from the relatively straight forward though steep climb to the ridge of Stac Pollaidh northwards to Cul More, Suilven and Quinag and onto the more challenging Munros Ben More Assynt & Conival.

To the south you will discover the group of hills known as An Teallach, a hugely impressive group of hills. Within the An Teallach group are nine separate tops with heights over 3000 feet. If you like something a little challenging and have a head for heights this may be the one for you.

There are many more walks and climbs to choose from around Ullapool, whichever you choose be prepared for the changeable conditions in the area, we are happy to update you with local weather forecasts and provide a warm welcome for your return to Eilean Donan Guest House.
