North West Highlands Geopark - Our local “Geopark” is a 2000 square km area of northwest Scotland, an area with recognised geological heritage in terms of its scientific quality, rarity, aesthetic appeal and educational value. The North West Highlands Geopark visitor centre and central hub, The Rock Stop, is open again for 2016! The café serves tea, coffee and hot chocolate plus locally made hot food, sandwiches and cakes. The rock stop also sells a range of locally made arts and crafts. Enjoy superb views and warm up with a hot drink or cool down with a cold one, look around the exhibition about the rocks and landscape of the North West Highlands.

Knoxkan Crag 15 minutes north of Ullapool by car The Knockan Visitor Centre is a visitor attraction that interprets the ‘big picture’ of the landscape at “Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve” and surrounding area.
